Tomintoul is situated between the Rivers Avon and Conglass in the stunning surroundings of Glenlivet Estate and the Cairngorms National Park.
The rushing rivers, birch clad valleys and high heather moors of Glenlivet Estate combine to create some of the most beautifully varied landscapes in north eastern Scotland.
These are set against the backdrop of the central Cairngorms, which include four of Scotland's five highest mountains and the only truly arctic wilderness in the United Kingdom.
Many people have been impressed by our scenery. Even Queen Victoria wrote enthusiastically about the view over the River Avon that she enjoyed just south of Tomintoul.
